Personal Lifeguarding:
Need a lifeguard to watch over your pool during a party? Well, Splish
Splash offers you the opportunity to relax during your next party by providing certified lifegurads to protect your water!
Swimming Lessons:
Splish Splash offers a variety of lesson programs. We
offer private lessons for those seeking one on one instruction. We also provide semi-private lessons with two swimmers
or group lessons with up to six swimmers. At Splish Splash our basic building blocks come from the American Red Cross water
safety program but we sculpt each lesson to meet the needs of each swimmer.
Surfing Lessons:
For those of you swimmers who are comfortable
and confident in the pool, we now offer you a new and exciting challenge; the Ocean!
Splish Splash surf lessons for beginners are
located in Newport Beach. We provide the board and you provide the wetsuit. Wetsuits are available for rent at local surf
shops. Surfers must be able to pass a swim test of: swimming the length of a twenty five yard pool twice and treading water
for three minutes. First lesson is held in the pool to teach basic ocean safety and board basics.
Lifeguard Training, CPR, &/or First Aid:
Splish Splash now offers classes for those individuals who seek
to gain even more knowledge about safety. All of our classes will certify individuals through the American Red Cross. You
can choose what certifications you want and where they will be taught. The best part is that you get to choose the
individuals who want to participate in your class.
The lifeguarding section of this course
has to be held at a facility that has a pool of at least 25 yards and at a depth of at least 7 feet. If you do not have this
type of facility but still interested, please contact us and we may be able to reserve a facility. The lifeguarding courses
are 28 hours in length. We spread these hours over a two weekend period of time for optimum learning.
To participate in a Lifegurading course you must be at least 15 years of age by the last day
of the course. You also must be able to swim 500 yards (200 freestyle, 200 breast stroke, and 100 choice of breast or free)
and you must be able to retrieve a 10 pound brick from a depth of at least seven feet and carry it 20 yards.
